Nixon-Nirdlinger Scrapbook chronicles the 1909 cruise taken by Philadelphia resident and theatrical manager Nixon-Nirdlinger and his wife from New York City to France, Spain, Morocco, Italy, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, and Hungary. The scrapbook records various aspects of the early twentieth-century travel business and is particularly rich with theatrical ephemera, indicating Nixon- Nirdlinger’s trip combined theatrical business interests with pleasure.
